  1. Install TestFlight.

Download Apple’s TestFlight app from the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. Open the invitation.

Use the “Try on TestFlight” link on this site, then accept the invitation and install Doubtful. Availability and device requirements are shown by TestFlight.

  3. Try a small task.

Start with a few everyday tasks. Beta builds can change or contain bugs; keep a separate copy of information you need to rely on.

About reminders

Doubtful does not schedule task reminders. iCloud uses background updates for syncing; these are separate from reminders. TestFlight may notify you about beta updates.

If your tasks aren’t syncing

Check that your devices use the same iCloud account, have an internet connection, and have iCloud sync enabled in Doubtful’s Settings. Check the sync status there, then reopen the app. If a problem continues, email the displayed error without including private task details.

Turning off sync and deleting data

Moving a task to the trash is not permanent deletion. “Delete All Data” removes local tasks and templates, but keeps app settings. With sync on, the app also requests deletion of cloud records known to the device; failed deletions are not reliably queued for retry, so records can remain or reappear. With sync off, deletion is local only. Turning sync off does not delete existing cloud data. Contact support for help with deletion.

Backups and restoring tasks

Export in Settings saves a separate backup in a local or cloud location you choose. Backups use a shared built-in key, not an individual password; someone with the file can open it in a compatible version of Doubtful. Deleting tasks does not remove exported files. Restoring can bring back deleted tasks and, with sync on, upload them to iCloud.

Something not quite right?

Send feedback from Doubtful’s page in TestFlight, or email the app version, device model, iOS or iPadOS version, and the steps that led to the problem. Screenshots are helpful, but remove private task details first. Please don’t send passwords or account credentials.
