1. Tasks stored on your device
Doubtful stores the tasks you enter on your device, including titles, notes, subtasks, priority values, task states, templates, and related dates. The app also saves settings needed for its features.
You choose what to put into a task. The app’s normal task workflow does not require a separate Doubtful account or sending your task content to the developer.
2. Optional iCloud synchronization
iCloud sync is enabled by default and can be disabled in the app’s Settings. When enabled and available, the app uses Apple CloudKit to store task records in a private database associated with your iCloud account and synchronize them across your supported devices. Apple processes iCloud data under its own terms and privacy policy.
Disabling sync does not delete information already uploaded to iCloud. Local changes made while sync is disabled are not sent to iCloud; enabling it again can bring cloud records back into the app.
3. Deletion and exported backups
The app includes controls for deleting tasks and deleting local task data. When sync is enabled, deletion also requests removal of the affected task records known to the app from CloudKit. Completion depends on connectivity and successful synchronization. The current implementation has not been verified as a complete erasure of every cloud record or Apple-held copy.
With sync disabled, deletion affects the local copy and leaves cloud records in place. Exported backups and files you have shared are separate copies; manage or delete those in the locations where you saved them. Apple’s handling of backups and retained service data is governed by Apple’s policies.
4. TestFlight beta testing
Apple distributes this beta through TestFlight. TestFlight automatically collects usage and crash information and makes information available to the developer. If you choose to send beta feedback, Apple may also share the comments, screenshots, and related diagnostic information you submit.
Beta information is used to understand problems and improve Doubtful. Review Apple’s TestFlight privacy information for details of Apple’s collection and handling. Avoid including private task content in feedback unless you intend to share it.
5. Support emails
If you email hello@alekseimelnik.com, the developer receives your email address, message, and any attachments you send. This information is used to respond to you and investigate the issue you describe.
Before publication, the developer must confirm the email service providers and how long support messages and attachments are retained. You can contact the same address to ask about a support conversation or request deletion of information you sent; any applicable retention obligations and provider limitations must be assessed when handling the request.
6. Analytics and advertising
No third-party advertising or analytics SDK was identified in the app source reviewed for this draft. The current website implementation does not install analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or nonessential cookies. This does not exclude Apple’s TestFlight diagnostics or information needed to deliver the website.
These statements must be checked against the build actually distributed and the final hosting configuration before publication.
7. Visiting this website
Delivering a web page involves processing request information such as an IP address, requested URL, and browser-provided headers. The website is intended to be served as static pages without a contact form or a user account system.
The production host, any access or security logs, the purposes for retaining those logs, and their retention periods have not yet been confirmed for this draft. They must be documented before this policy is published. External links, including TestFlight and the developer’s portfolio, lead to services with their own data handling.
